Jakub Kwasniewski - Half-Term Camp Coach

Our First YDP Cambridge coach Jakub, was born in Poland and moved to England in 2008 when he was just 6 years old. He quickly picked up on the language and was introduced to football by school friends which is what he describes as “love at first sight”. He became obsessed with football and loved spending time being active and playing a variety of sports. Jakub’s favourite sports are football, handball, volleyball, ski jumping and basketball. With injuries stopping Jakub reaching his initial goals of becoming a professional footballer, he discovered a passion for the coaching side of the game, through video games such as Football Manager. 

Jakub says YDP Cambridge is helping him achieve those coaching goals as the people he works with on a day to day basis help him develop himself as a better coach and it is a wonderful working environment to be in. 

Jakub completed the Level 3 Sports Coaching & Management BTEC course at Cambridge Regional College. Jakub really enjoys coaching as he loves the idea of leaving an impact in people's lives to help them become a better version of themselves. He is also the Head Coach of the YDP Under 11's team in Peterborough. Jakub has been essential to our growth as a business and will continue to lead new projects as we continue to expand throughout Cambridge and the surrounding areas.
